Biography

Joshua Rugiano hails from the city of Wollongong in South Coast, Australia. He is a recipient of The 2015 Sanford Meisner Merit Award Scholarship & graduate from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic arts. After graduating from NYCDA, he continued his studies at HB Studio, & Atlantic Theatre Company.

Joshua made his Off-Broadway debut as Tutor and Aegisthus in Sophocles "Electra". He has worked in many plays and films in both Australia and the U.S, some of which have been selected for numerous film festivals including: Toronto International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival.Working on the stage in New York is a highlight for Joshua as it has been one of his dreams and passions to work in theatre and on film in America.

During covid shut downs, Joshua also became a semi pro ultra marathon runner, where he would also partner with different charitable foundations to help them raise awareness for specific causes such as American Soldier Network, as well as Vets For Child Rescue. He is currently based in New York City.
